Two Pennridge High School students recently were named Students of the Month by local community service organization, Perkasie Rotary.
Chad Schaeffer was named Student of the Month for December. The son of Brad and Diane Schaeffer, of East Rockhill Township, Chad is a senior at Pennridge High School, excelling in academics, taking six AP courses. He also has participated in many service projects, including a program with his youth group to feed the homeless. He is an active member of the Key Club, National Honor Society, and Boy Scouts. He is treasurer of the Technology Student Association and is interested in studying mechanical engineering in college.
Kaitlyn Stevens was named Student of the Month for November. The daughter of Mary and Tim Stevens, of East Rockhill Township, Kaitlyn is a senior at Pennridge High School. Kaitlyn is an active student and athlete. She has taken special courses throughout her career at Pennridge High School including six honors courses, while also being involved in Executive Council since 9th grade. This year, she is the President of Mini-Thon, a fundraiser for pediatric cancer. She also volunteers for the Central Bucks Family YMCA in abilities, aquatics, camp, and youth development programs. Kaitlyn plans to attend college to study elementary education and special education.
Founded in 1925, Perkasie Rotary is a chapter of Rotary International and dedicates its work to the group’s mission of “Service Above Self.” The organization works to bring civic and business leaders together to help their communities thrive.
